Wrapping up a year like no other

I’m sure I don’t have to tell you this, but 2020 has a been a year to remember.

Despite our lives being changed by the pandemic, and despite whether or not you hit all of your goals…. we need to evaluate the WINS of the year.

***WINS: What happened this year that made you a grow, learn or succeed. I do not care how small or big of a WIN.

Some of the highlights for me personally were:

• Started our new cattle fold of Scottish Highland for our Farm to Table business
Great Western Trail Beef.

• Took a small group of ladies to Summit Pikes Peak

• Added LIVE ZOOM classes to Akin Training and Yoga
What started out of survival is now a HUGE portion of our business.
It’s a must try if you are interested.

• Hired a New Business Coach – We ALL need coaches 😉

This year, more than anything, taught us about the power that we possess to CHOOSE how we think about and react to everything.

If we focus on what’s within our control, it’s amazing how empowered we become, regardless of what else is going on in the world.

Of course, I’m hoping to put pandemics, lockdowns, and all the negative aspects of 2020 behind us at some point in 2021. And even though this year was different to say the least, I’m still going to look back like I normally do. I always like to spend time at the end of the year reflecting.

• Did I achieve my goals?

• What worked well?

• What didn’t work for me?

• What do I want to accomplish in the next year?

I’d absolutely encourage you to do the same!

You see, it’s not about New Year’s Resolutions for me.

It never has been.

Here’s why… We all know that resolutions are practically made for abandonment.

It’s less than 10% of people who set a resolution who actually keep it.

I believe that if you want to make a change and create a different reality for yourself in any area of your life, change must start in your direction…. Where are you going.

See this different approach? We are now buying into what we want and desire because we can see the outcome not just the Goal. Are you with me?

For a basic result example:

New Years Resolution: I want to squat #225 by April

Close your eyes and let’s Imaging that outcome:
You have a bar on your back, you are moving this weight….
The confidence you feel being that strong, you know your BUTT and LEGS are strong and look good. You have created a consistency in the gym and find that you love your new daily habit and you feel successful.

Do you see what I did there? It’s the whole feeling of what life is like when you hit that goal.

Can you see why it’s created a hunger to work toward that GOAL? You now want the whole picture!!!

You see, one of our needs as humans is GROWTH.

And you’ve probably heard the phrase “If you’re not growing you’re dying.”

So, how would you feel if nothing changed?

The thing is…I know that you, me, and everyone in this world is meant for even more.

I’d LOVE for you to share your thoughts with me!

And if you’re stressed, overwhelmed, or even depressed by the thought of being in exactly in the same place you are today 1 year from now, what can you change today to make the future different?

The future always starts with today, with now.

Don’t put off change and growth!

And obviously, there’s no better time to create change than as we move into a New Year. 🙂
